Royal Health Group Adds Innovative Product to Detect Early Heart Failure
August, 2011 – The Royal Health Group, owner and operator of six skilled nursing facilities south of Boston, announces the purchase of the recently FDA- approved ZOE® Fluid Status Monitor for use in all of its locations. The ZOE Monitor detects early heart failure up to two weeks before weight gain and other symptoms, offering significant benefits to both patients and physicians.
The ZOE Monitor is a non-invasive medical device that measures fluid status via bio-impedance. ZOE® measurement is a quick and easy method for determining whether individuals are experiencing fluid congestion. Early detection means fewer emergency room visits and re-hospitalizations for the patient, and improved patient management and a more efficient use of time and resources for the physician.
The ZOE® device will be used by all Royal skilled nursing facilities as part of their “Royal Innovation: Cardiac Care” program, offering a comprehensive disease management solution for patients living with heart failure.
“The ZOE Monitor will have a significant impact on the quality of care for our patients with this condition,” said Royal Health Group Director of Operations Robyn Sloniecki, RNBSN, CCM. “The concise reporting of clinical data immeasurably increases a physician’s ability to promptly adjust medication, diet and activity levels, and virtually eliminates the need for frequent emergency room visits and hospitalizations.”
