It’s the goal of every skilled nursing facility to earn the industry’s most recognizable symbol of excellence, and Royal Fairhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has added the label reserved for only the best: a 5-star designation from the federal government’s Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
“I want to commend our executive director Lee Allaire and the entire team at Royal Fairhaven for a tremendous accomplishment,” said Royal Health Group owner and CEO James Mamary, Sr. “Fairhaven’s state and federal ranking has been rising steadily since we purchased the facility in 2007, and I’ve always believed it was just a matter of time before their hard work and commitment to excellence would be reflected in the CMS rating.”
The CMS evaluation is based on carefully considered data reflecting health inspections, nurse staffing and quality measures of medical care. Only one in four skilled nursing homes in Massachusetts qualifies for 5 stars using the CMS rating system, and only 20% nationwide achieve that level of distinction.
Royal Fairhaven has earned a well-deserved reputation on the South Coast for superb rehabilitation outcomes, the highly regarded Royal Innovation: Alzheimer’s Care program, and its special attention to Portuguese speaking residents in their culture, cuisine and activities.
“We are a family owned company that aspires to the highest standard of nursing care,” said Mamary, “and this latest honor from the CMS only confirms that we are following through on that commitment.”
The family- owned Royal Health Group owns and operates several skilled nursing facilities south of Boston, an assisted living community in Harwich on Cape Cod, and the home healthcare company “Royal at Home.”
